Praia Del Rey Golf & Country Club enjoys an enviable and peaceful location near the picturesque medieval walled town of Obidos - winding narrow streets and elegant whitewashed buildings with balconies decorated with flowers.
The 600 acre resort of Praia Del Rey is set within a region of outstanding cultural and historical importance, renowned for its windmills, rolling hills, majestic coastline of indented bays, golden beaches with breathtaking Atlantic rollers, wonderful seafood restaurants and delicious wines.
A 10 minute drive away along a quiet coast route is the famous Obidos Lagoon, where windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing are available. Tuition and rental of boards etc. can be found at the sailing club on the far side of the lagoon, a ferry service for the club operates during the season.
Surfing at Baleal and Peniche is only a 10 minute drive away. This is one of the most popular surfing destinations in Europe. Surf schools and hire shops are also situated here.
Peniche is Portugal’s largest fishing port and a great place to eat fish.

For shops and fruit and vegetable markets visit Caldas De Rainha, 20 minutes drive away. As well as the resort grocery store there are shops in the next village of Serra del Rei.
